More About Boston Boot Camp

You probably have questions about Boston Boot Camp. We’ve answered the most common ones below. Got others? Email them to Matt Fitzgerald at matt@dreamruncamp.com .

Will I have my own room?

Yes. Dream Run Camp occupies four large houses with 12 total guest bedrooms. Each Boston Boot Camp participant will have a private bedroom.

Are meals provided?

Breakfast is included in the Boston Boot Camp package. We will also treat you to a welcome dinner and a catered brunch after your big marathon-pace workout. You are responsible for your other meals, but if you prefer not to cook, you can take advantage of our fresh meal delivery partner, Factor 75.

How do I prepare for altitude?

We recommend that you have your ferritin level checked prior to coming to Dream Run Camp. Our partner InsideTracker will make it easy for you.

Won’t I struggle to do my peak marathon training at 7,000 feet?

Not with our guidance! We’ve helped dozens of runners make a smooth transition to high altitude and get quality training done here in Flagstaff, even if they’ve never run in the mountains. And your most marathon-specific workouts will be done at lower elevations, just like the pros!

What’s the best way to get to Flagstaff?

Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is located ten minutes from Dream Run Camp and is serviced by American Airlines. To save a little money, fly into Phoenix and catch a shuttle bus to Flagstaff.

How will I get around while I’m there?

Dream Run Camp will provide transportation to all official events, including special service appointments. To get around on your own, you can use rideshare or rent a vehicle of your own.

What if I have my own coach or training plan?

That’s fine. We will gladly coordinate with your coach or facilitate your plan to keep you on track at Boston Boot Camp.

What’s the weather like in Flagstaff in April?

Expect high temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s and overnight temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s. Snow is not unheard of at this time of year, but a short drive gets you below the snow line for unfettered training.
