Live from Dream Run Camp: Lauren Hagans on Moving Up to the Marathon
This week, NAZ Elite runner Lauren Hagans comes to Dream Run Camp to talk about how she’s preparing for her debut marathon and offer tips to other runners looking to level up in distance. My name is Hosava Kretzmann, I am both Hopi and Diné. I am also a professional runner based in Flagstaff. I was sent an invite to your Dream Run Camp featuring Lauren by Nick Arciniaga. He said to sign-up if we we’re interested. I’d be honored to attend either in-person or virtual. I also read your book – Running the Dream, recommended to me by a local friend. Very great book! It very much reflects the Dream Run Camp mission. I ran with Matt Llano a few weeks ago and had to ask about what three majors he got his undergraduate degrees in.
I’d be happy to support the Dream Run Camp anyway possible. Especially if you have any Native runners coming to your camp. I’d be happy to show them around town or share some cultural information/knowledge about the significance of Flagstaff. Especially the San Francisco Peaks or Dookoosliid (in Navajo).
